Even in challenging times the learning professional must stay abreast of changing trends and manage ever- shrinking resources! The Training Officers Consortium (TOC) is a nonprofit organization of federal trainers and other professionals from industry and academe who are interested in contributing to the knowledge and practice of human resources and training.  TOC offers a 10 -month professional development series for HR professionals that focuses on developing and maintaining key skills for the workplace learning professional.

Each professional development session includes networking opportunities with both public and private sector professionals and covers topics relevant to the learning professional, including: designing learning, delivering learning, improving human performance, measuring and evaluating learning, facilitating change, managing learning, and career and talent management.

This series culminates with an intensive 3-day learning institute in Ocean City, MD, that features just-in-time learning modules, access to relevant vendors providing services to the federal learning community, and engaging activities to foster networking and information sharing.
Your registration includes:

  • 10 monthly Professional Development Workshops at Fort McNair, September 2011-June 2012 (lunch is included)
  • Intensive 3-Day Learning Institute, April 22-25, 2012 in Ocean City, MD (all meals and lodging are included)
  • Networking (both on the public and private side, which reduces research time significantly)
  • The knowledge and skills to stay abreast of changes in the training and development arena
  • Opportunity for immediate ROI on the job

In addition, the Annual Distinguished Service Awards Banquet will be held in June at Ft McNair.
